I listened to a beautiful message two nights ago titled “Plot Twist” by Pastor Steven Furtick. And he highlighted how 2020 is the year of the plot twist, we all had things planned out, goals set, travel arrangements, summer body goals, you name it, then came Covid-19 and boom, plot twist, and everything changed.

This got me thinking, everytime there is a plot twist to things you had prearranged, there lies an opportunity to think outside the box, to reevaluate your priorities or maybe just be still and know! With every plot twist comes a change in every other chapter in that story.

Time is of the essence

How are you rewriting your story? If you were too busy for the people that matter most in your life, I hope this plot twist has helped you realise that your time with them is limited and therefore precious, leave work at work and be wholly present with your family and friends when home. If you always postpone that trip or opportunity to spoil yourself, when the world is fully reopened, rewrite and complete that chapter. That blog you’ve always wanted to start (and I’m speaking to myself too), go ahead and do it. Those early morning or late night prayers and Bible reading sessions you always want to start, now is the time. A wise someone said, “if you get out of this lockdown not having done the things you said you never had time to do, then you never lacked time, you just lacked self-discipline”.

We could be so focused on the virus and its effects, we might miss out on the lessons it brings. Each day still presents new opportunities and blessings. There’s still so much to be grateful for everyday. Celebrate even the smallest of victories, being alive and healthy is always a great starting point. Find at least one positive thing each day, and you’ll recognise so many others. Count your many blessings name them one by one and it will surprise you (literally) what the Lord has done.

Yes, it is yet another amazing day …praise God! My day started beautifully, with me feeling refreshed. It all began with a spirit lifting worship from the song ‘Show Us Thy Glory’, by one of my spirit sisters…oh yes I call Ma’m Augustina Addison my spirit sister because of the deep connection I felt through her worship. She did a soul shaking rendition of this song. Praying for more oil over her life in the mighty name of Jesus. I am yet to come down even as I type, from the awesome clouds of worship.

A lot is going on with the COVID19 situation, that families, businesses and economies are beginning to feel the down side of it. Some except by mercy, may not recover fully from the downturn because they weren’t prepared for it. People more than ever are trusting God to be their healer, protector and provider. God is these to us and much more. While I pondered on the situation, asking God for a way out for his people, a word and this song was laid in my spirit.

Show us thy glory oh Lord
Show us thy glory oh Lord
Let the dew of heaven bring us a refreshing show us your glory once more.

We are crying day and night asking God to show his face. We need him now! I was led to the following scriptures to remind me that God never fails. He already made provision for us. Praise God!

We have a heavenly release of the dew of heaven and every other blessings designed for those who are called by the name of the Lord. The dew of heaven is the refreshing we need this season.

…..and the heavens shall give their dew Halleluyah. The dew of heaven truly is refreshing. The earth’s thirst is quenched everyday by this dew and our spirits are freshed by heaven’s dew.

God has giving to us the blessing of the dew and it is only right that we get refreshed by it. You wonder why despite all the promises and blessings of God, you still feel the thirst, like you are in the desert. The Lord sends a word today and here it is…. this is wisdom to have the dew of heaven bring you a refreshing in this season as you travail in prayer.

By his divine revelation he broke open the hidden fountains of the deep, bringing secret springs to the surface as the mist of the night dripped down from heaven.

Proverbs 3:20 TPT

Aha! You need divine revelation for the release of heaven’s dew.

Let us ask God today for that divine revelation, the knowledge or ideas that will position us to receive heaven’s dew so we are refreshed today

I pray for you,

Heavenly Father by your love and mercy, reveal your glory to your own today, give them all they need in wisdom and understanding as we pray in Jesus mighty name, Amen

Have a heavenly time of refreshing beloved.

“Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Isaiah 45:22

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord , And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 55:7

Glory to God for an opportunity to be partakers of God’s extravagant grace Halleluyah. We are not ignorant of the happenings around us, neither are we ignorant of the implications of refusing to stay woke and connect to the only source of hope and life. The good news is that, while others languish in fear of the unknown, we have been given an open ticket to life through FAITH in God’s name.

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

Acts 2:21

At this point I admonish that we do not concern ourselves with the virus or whatever it brings, but remain focused as children of God. God is calling us to return to him today, to return to our first love. The salvation you seek will only be found in Jesus. There is no other, who can save you.

Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

Zechariah 1:3

See the Lord telling the Children of Israel further down the above verse that His Word and statues will live long after them. Let us not loose sight of the fact that everything recorded in the book of Revelation will be fulfilled as we’ve already started seeing. God says RETURN.

Our nations are volatile now because of pestilence brought by sin but God is calling us to order today, turn to your first love.

So many ways we have strayed from the path of his love, leaning on our own understanding. Now is the time to return. Turn from everything that is working against your communion with Jesus. He is ready to change your story as nothing can ever seperate us from His love. We may fail in love but Christ never fails. We are conquerors because Christ loves us.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

We will pray for our homes this morning.

  1. Father we appreciate you for your mercies over our household this season. Thank you dear Lord for your compassion

Through the Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23
  1. We repent of our sins and ask for mercy. Soak us Lord, in the blood of Jesus. Restore unto us the joy of our salvation, renew a right spirit within us.
  2. Have mercy Lord on every shortcoming and failure as wives and mothers. We ask for grace to stand in the gap for our homes henceforth. Help us not to fail in our motherly and wifely responsibilities in building a godly home fit and ready for our master’s return.
  3. We have believed the lies of the devil that we can by our own power, fend for our homes and as such have cut corners, throwing away godliness from our business activities. Forgive us Lord and help us return to just scales and righteous means of livelihood.
  4. We connect to the grace to be completely involved in the spiritual wellbeing of all members of our household. We repent from being too busy and allowing the devil to have his way. Henceforth we are intentional about your children you have placed in our care. We will not fail them, we will not fail you Lord.
  5. We cover our husbands in prayer today. We speak into their spirit, the presence of God and the Spirit of excellence always. We stand against every power that is assigned to make us speak not in one voice. We connect them to grace to effectively and spiritually captain the ship of our homes.

We cover our entire household with the blood of Jesus as we return to you and you also to us.

I decree over your lives women of God, the mercies of God will find you. You will take your rightful place in your home and in the lives of your Husband and Children in Jesus name. The Lord will return to you as you have returned to him.

I pray for everyone, the grace to live a life that pleases God will rest on you today in Jesus mighty name. Be still God is God.

Word for Chayil Women on 26/03/2020 by Prayer General Rebecca:

Psalms 91:1-15 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

The word of the Lord is sweet we are running to it and we are positioning ourselves in it,
Standing on his promises and reminding him because he has assured us that we shall call him and he will answer and he will honor us, with Long life he will satisfy us!!

So father we thank you that you have kept us alive and that your fighting all the wars for us and that your keeping us safe from this epidemic COVID19, your word said that the Just shall live by faith, we are living by faith and we are saying thank you that we shall not die from it IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!
