Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.

Proverbs 4:26-27

God is calling on us today to establish ALL our ways unto righteousness.

He says further in same proverbs 4:18 that the paths of the righteous are like a shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day.

This is an assurance that those whose path are just, ultimately fulfil God’s purpose for their lives.

  1. JUSTIFIED BY FAITH….Believe in God supported by works

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 5:1

Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Hebrews 10:38

There is no pleasing God without having faith as a believer. To walk in a path of righteousness, you must believe in God through Christ and exercise your faith by works.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

James 2:21-22

God himself testified that Abraham was righteous because of his faith. He showed that he trusted God to keep his promise towards him and his generations unborn, even when God demanded his heir in sacrifice. Abraham did not withold from God the only hope he had. He trusted God beyond human wisdom. Today, God is calling you to walk in this kind of faith.

And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

James 2:23

2. Keeping God’s Statutes

For I have kept the ways of the Lord , And have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His judgments were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me. I was also blameless before Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.

Psalms 18:21-23

It is easier now in this dispensation of grace to have the holy Spirit guide you into all truths, to follow God’s statutes without much stress as those sold out to Christ. Don’t bother about keeping the letter of old commandment, you cannot fulfil every one of them. God is asking you to trust completely in the holy Spirit to guide you. His words has he imprinted in your heart, obey every instruction as the Spirit leads you.

David was called JUST, save for the case of Uriah the Gittite. He eventually reconciled with God and God attested to His righteousness because he did what was always right by God. Are you obeying the instructions of God?

because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord , and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

1Kings 15:5

3. Bringing to God excellent sacrifice

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

Hebrews 11:4

Abel gave a the best of his harvest. God is calling to us today to not only give the best of our substance but the best of our service also.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Offer the best of you in showcasing the glory of God as a believer. Let your life bring observers to the knowledge of God through Christ that you preach, not just in word but also in works.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

2Corinthians 2:14

1. Abraham
2. Noah

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 6:9

And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

Genesis 7:1

3. Lot
4. Job.
5. David
6. Enoch
7. John the baptist

1. God reveals himself/plans to the upright.

When you walk in a just path, you are no offender of God but a friend. Your day to day walk with God will bring you to a place of intimacy where God through His Spirit will reveal all you need to know about you and others.

For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord , But His secret counsel is with the upright.

Proverbs 3:32

God never hid anything from his faithful friend Abraham and will not hide anything from you when you walk faithfully in righteousness with him.

And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,

Genesis 18:17

2. The integrity of the Just saves him and blesses his children after him

The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

Proverbs 20:7

You must have heard that a good name is better than silver or gold. One’s works precedes them and will deliver them if good, from trouble in time of obscurity or wrong allegations.

The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

Proverbs 11:3
  1. Unprecedented blessings from God

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1Corinthians 2:9

In conclusion, remember the wages of sin is death. One who derails from the paths of righteousness is an enemy of God. Do not walk in darkness. The path of the righteous shines like light. You will not stumble in Jesus mighty name. Amen and amen.

The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble.

Proverbs 4:19
