but whose delight is in the law of the Lord , and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Psalm 1: 2-3

This particular word from Psalms 1: 2-3 is an echo from Joshua 1: 8.

The word of God is true. Meditating on the word brings good success. Focus less on other mundane things.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8

Some questions may arise as to whether we are to follow through with the dictates of the law in this current dispensation of grace. The answer is simple, the Word of God is inscribed in your heart the minute the holy spirit takes over after you become born again. The presence of the Spirit of God in your heart makes it easy to conform to the things required of God then by law and now by the blood.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

John 14: 26

Everything our heavenly Father wants you to know and do to be right by Him will be revealed by the Spirit of truth

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 16: 13

Gloria Copeland, highlighted in her post titled 3 ways to improve your ability to hear in the spirit, ways you can enjoy a good relationship with the HolySpirit. She says to focus on the Word (John 15 vs 17), listen to God’s people and listen in prayer.

These three, points to spending more time with God and his word. Prayers which is very vital for a believer’s spiritual growth is more of a two way communication. You ask and then you listen. Leave room for the Holyspirit to bring home some truth.

You can never go wrong when you meditate on God’s word. It will bring you to divine fulfilment, it will bring you to your promise land — A PLACE OF SUCCESS.

PRAYER NUGGET
Thank you dear Lord for the entrance of the Word. Help us through the Spirit, to meditate day and night and to draw from your overflowing fountain of truth.
We connect to grace to build effective meditation habit and to rid our routine of distractions in Jesus name. Glorify yourself by your word Father. Amen.
